Why leadership for high schoolers?

Investing in our community’s youth started at Joe Foss (Axtell Park), Sioux Falls School District’s alternative program, with a group of youth who were thirsty for acknowledgment and poised to soak in guidance as they ventured into adulthood. Through the pilot year of LOT Next Gen, the impact was great. There were improvements in attendance, students who were previously not were now on track for graduation and youth were stepping into more responsibility both in school and at their jobs and internships.
